The Ornava studio
A decor studio with a single obsession: objects made to last that make a home warmer.
We started small — a trestle table, a few craft workshops, and the conviction that an interior is built from chosen objects, not accumulated ones.
How it started
Ornava grew out of a shared frustration: too many decorative objects that look lovely in a catalogue but feel hollow in the hand — fragile finishes, poor materials, a single season of life.
The answer felt obvious: work with material. Favour stone, clay, solid wood and natural fibres. Choose workshops that make things by hand, and make them well.
Today we work with a small network of makers who share our approach. Every piece has a material, an origin and a reason to be in a home.
The studio today
We keep the collection deliberately tight — six object families, chosen to speak to one another rather than to fill a catalogue.
Every new piece is tested in-house before it joins the range: durability, material quality, the rightness of the finish. If it doesn't convince us, it doesn't get in.

How we work
From studio to your home
Selection
We comb workshops and small makers for pieces that hold up. Only those that pass our material and finish bar make the cut.
Quality control
Every item is tested and handled in-house. We check sturdiness, finish and dimensions before we open it for orders.
Careful packing
Fragile pieces — glass, ceramic, marble — are packed by hand with proper protection and recyclable materials wherever possible.
Shipping
We ship within a few working days and track every parcel. A problem on delivery? Write to us and we'll put it right quickly.
